“How is she?” Pierce asked his wife as in slipped into bed next to her.
“She’s alright, a few boy problems” Gill said and chuckled when she saw the shocked look on her husband’s face.
“Already?” he asked.
“Nothing serious” his wife reassured him as she turned off her bedside lamp.
“She’s only sixteen” he said, the concern in his voice.
“Pierce please, you weren’t singing this song when you were after me” she told him.
“That’s different” he defended himself as he fluffed his pillow and then laid his head on it.
“How is it different?” his wife questioned interested to know what his explanation was.
“I was a boy then and now am a father”
“Really” Gill giggled.
“Yes”
“But you are married to me, the one you were after back then”
“That’s irrelevant” he said jokingly knowing he had lost this argument.
“You call irrelevant, I call it double standards” Gill responded and reached over to her husband and kissed him.
