“Wish I could go home this weekend” Sheryl said glad the conversation had been changed.
“Why don’t you?”
“I have things to do”
“Like what?”
“The model”
“You could always do it with Lance next week”
“I can’t rely on him; I’d rather finish it this weekend and get it over with”
“If you say so, I’m leaving at eight”
“How will you get there?”
“Grandma is sending the driver; her house is not too far off”
“In that case, have fun” Sheryl said mentally preparing herself for a weekend alone.
After Sheryl had seen Renée off, she went back to her room and had a shower. She had decided on an early night. She had just slipped into her bed when her phone rang. She looked at the caller and realized it was her dad. She smiled and pressed the answer button.
“Hello papa”
“Baby bear, are you okay” Pierce said with concern.
