“No not at all sir” Ed lied.
“Phones are supposed to be turned off in class”
“I’m sorry sir” Ed apologized.
“Re..report for detention at five”
“Yes sir”
Ed lowered his head and let out a small groan. Detention, well that was better than a one on one lecture session. He looked at his watch and sighed. One hour forty five minutes to go.
“This was going to be torture” he thought.
Chapter 7
“I started drafting the presentation, tell me what you think” Sheryl said as she handed some papers over to Lance who was sitting on the opposite side of the bench situated near the school fountain.
“That was fast” he said with a smile as he began reading the papers.
“No reason to waste time” she said and took a hearty bite out of her apple.
“It’s good” he complemented as he scanned through.
“Thanks”
