The girl walked closer to Sheryl and stopped right in front of her.
“My name is Renee” she introduced herself as she held out her hand to greet Sheryl.
“Sheryl” she told the girl.
“Umm… will you take the taxi?” Seth asked trying to get Sheryl’s attention.
“We both will” Renee confirmed.
“That is if you don’t mind” Renee added as she shifted her attention from Seth back to Sheryl.
“No, of course not” Sheryl said with a smile. She felt better being with someone in the taxi especially considering the very shady looks of the taxi driver.
“Alright then, this way please” Seth said kind of annoyed that things weren’t going according to plan. The two girls followed him to the yellow taxi and put the big bags in the boot and squeezed the smaller ones in the passenger seat before they both sat in the back seat. Seth got in the driver’s seat and switched on the car and begun driving towards Kingston academy.
Fifteen minutes later they were entering the school gates. The taxi pulled up at the car park and parked in a spot next to the stone pavement leading to the entrance of the building. Sheryl stepped out of the car and immediately the scent of fully bloomed roses invaded her nose. She looked around and could not help but smile.
“Maybe boarding wouldn’t be so bad after all” she pleasantly thought to herself.
