smiled and greeted her as if there were pals. There was nothing Sheryl found more infuriating than being mad at someone and they didn’t notice. Sometimes she thought he was doing it on purpose to antagonize her but there were other times she just figured he was too dense to notice.
“What do you think of the history assignment?” Renee asked jerking Sheryl back to reality.
“It’s going to take a lot of work that’s for sure” Sheryl responded.
“Urgh! All that reading” Renee complained.
“It can’t be too bad”
“You think?”
“Well it’s only five pages, it could be worse”
“It’s ten actually” Renee corrected her.
“What! Since when?” Sheryl exclaimed in surprise.
“Since Mr. Boomer extended it”
“Why?”
“I….I want you…. to appreciate its sig..significance” Renee said sarcastically as she imitated Mr. Boomer’s stammer.
Sheryl burst out laughing amazed at how good Renee was at imitating people.
