Simple job they had told him, get the package and deliver it to Sandra no questions asked. Larry of course was curious as to what was in the package and why it was so important but it was not his place to know. All they required of him was what he had already achieved and this was the final part of the job. Once he had given her the package he could catch the next flight to Green-peak and see Mackenzie. He had been away too long and he didn’t feel he could bear another day without seeing her.
“Alright thank you…” Sandra said and hung up the phone.
“Hello” she greeted him.
“Hi, I’ve got it” Larry informed her without wasting time.
“You didn’t open it did you?” she asked him.
“No, not part of the job” he responded.
“Good, give it to me” she told him.
Larry leaned over and handed her the package and then stood up ready to go.
“Thank you” she said to him as she placed the package in the desk drawer.
“It was a pleasure” Larry said and walked to the door and left.
