Mackenzie rushed down the stairs wondering who was banging on their door.
“Who is it Henry?” she asked as their butler punched in a code to switch off the alarm so he could open the door.
“Its Master Lance Miss” he replied. When he was sure the alarm was off, he opened the door and Lance was standing in the door way holding Sheryl’s limp body in his arms.
“Oh my gosh! What happened?” Mackenzie exclaimed.
“Henry please call the doctor” Lance instructed as he walked past his sister and carried Sheryl up the stairs to one of the guest bedrooms. Mackenzie followed after him hoping her brother would be able to give her an explanation.
Lance laid Sheryl on the bed and ordered one of the maids to clean her up in readiness of the doctor, he then left to go to his room and Mackenzie went with him. When Lance got his room, he sat on his bed and buried his head in his hands and sighed. Mackenzie walked into the room and took a seat by her brother.
“Are you okay?” she asked him.
“I’m alright” he said as he lifted his head and looked at his sister.
“So what happened?” she asked concerned.
“I don’t know Mac” he said quietly.
